Normally, I believe that nothing related to Christmas can start a moment before December – NOT. ONE. SECOND.
But… but… Zagreb city has already put out its Christmas lights and I don’t mind.
They’re just so pretty!
Zagreb has a whole raft of cool things going on for Advent (that’s the period before Christmas, for us heathens), including an ice rink, markets, live nativity scene ( !! ) and brass bands on balconies. Zagreb is probably not the first place people think of when they think of Christmas in Europe but let me tell you, it’s bloody lovely.
