Don’t judge me, but I recently click-baited my way onto an article titled “Believe It Or Not, All These Celebs Are The Same Age” where I learned two very important things:
- My popular culture knowledge is so incredibly dismal, I make my nan look cool. And I don’t even have a nan.
- Lady celebrities are all much, much, much younger than male celebrities.
It reminded me of an article I read a while ago about leading men. I’m sure it will not surprise you to learn that while male actors are busy getting old, their love interests stay the same age. For example, here’s Denzel Washington:
Basically to succeed in Hollywood, if you are in possession of lady bits, you must also be in possession of fewer than 30 years. But if you’re a dude you can keep acting until you’re ancient, and still get to bone the newest actress on the block. Hooray the patriarchy!
