People are Rubbish

Woman who draws dicks gets more clicks than man who reads all the books left by his dead grandfather

In the spirit of data collection, I’ve taken to using Bitly to see which of my links people actually clink on. And the results are, I have to say, despairing.

I shared a few stories this week. One was about a woman who draws penises using her Nike running app. Penises. Pretty funny.

Another was about a man who is reading all of the books his grandfather left behind when he died.

Here’s a snapshot of how many people clicked on those articles:

The evidence is pretty conclusive, I think we can all agree. People are rubbish.

What do you think? Am I judging too harshly?

  1. Huh, so I saw the jogging/drawing link, but didn’t see the grandfather’s book story. I don’t spend a great deal of time on FB, so has it just scrolled off before I could see it, or are you talking about a different feed?

    1. Actually, I revise my earlier statement. People aren’t rubbish – Facebook is. There’s only one feed but it decides what goes in it.
