The whole of the world

It’s not long til midnight. I have a beer, a chocolate, and Netflix. I also have a phone, which is what I’m writing on.

(Can you imagine that sentence 10 years ago? I’m writing on my phone?)

I’m in bed.

I have a bed.

I watched the film Lion tonight. 80,000 kids go missing in India every year.

That’s a lot of kids who don’t have a bed, let alone a chocolate and a phone and Netflix.

That’s a lot of kids who won’t be warm, or clean, or full, or easy. A lot of kids who may never grow up.

And here I am, writing on a phone, in bed with a chocolate and a beer. I truly don’t understand the world sometimes.
